The Cuban diplomat voiced his gratitude at a meeting with representatives of the Parliamentary Group, the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association (VCFA) and the Club of Vietnamese Alumni in Cuba.
Hernández Guillén recalled the speech delivered by the Vietnamese main envoy to the United Nations, Dang Hoang Giang, during the recent General Assembly’s debates on the necessity of ending the protracted siege on Cuba, saying his words reflected, in a clear and strong way, what this aggressive policy means.
The Cuban ambassador also hailed the current state of bilateral ties, at a time when his country is going through difficult circumstances.
He also referred to what he described as a transcendental and historic State visit to Havana in late September by To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (VCP) and President of that country, and praised the contents of his bulky agenda,
