Prensa Latina among the winners of Russia’s Expert of the Year award

Moscow, 30 Oct (Prensa Latina) The Latin American news agency Prensa Latina won one of the Expert of the Year awards at the 13th edition of the contest, which took place in the Russian capital on Wednesday. On the occasion, two categories were introduced for the first time in which projects from other countries participated, with journalistic works from Egypt, China and Cuba among the winners, the general director of the "Expert" analysis center, Cristina Muravieva, explained.

According to Muravieva, 2,752 applications were submitted in the two new international categories: International Projects and International Media.

She noted that the award, unlike the rankings of public figures and media personalities, is dedicated to non-public people, whose work influences the future.

In the first category, the award winners were Russian filmmaker Liana Beltran-Belskaya; the TVBrics expert from the South African University of Technology in Durban, Ndivhuho Tshijovhi; and the representative of the Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival from China, Li Ge.

In the “International Media” category, the award went to the Eurasian Office of the China Media Corporation, the Latin American agency Prensa Latina from Cuba, and the Daily News from Egypt.

The award, organized by the “Expert” think tank, aims to identify leaders who have implemented innovative ideas in the business and social spheres.
