The head of State pointed out on his X account that despite broad support (187 votes in favor) for Cuba, the United States “will surely arrogantly ignore the world demand, but the dignity of this people and universal solidarity have defeated it again.”
“Little David defeated the giant Goliath again,” the president stressed.
To its policy of blockade against the noble and supportive people of Cuba, the US Government adds an additional infamy: “once again it is accompanied in the negative vote by Israel, the genocidal of Gaza. Shameful and double criminal record.”
Prime Minister Manuel, in turn, celebrated Cuba’s resounding victory at the United Nations General Assembly.
Marrero noted that Cuba will continue to raise its voice to demand the end of the US blockade and thanked the international community for its broad support.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez affirmed that the US Government has been isolated once again, “in light of this overwhelming condemnation of the genocidal and obsolete blockade that does so much harm to the Cuban people.”
On Wednesday, the UN General Assembly approved the thirty-second resolution that demands the end of the United States blockade against Cuba, by an overwhelming majority of 187 votes in favor, two against (US and Israel) and one abstention (Modova).
