The diplomat told Prensa Latina that the Belarusian political group’s text expresses solidarity with Cuba, following the October 18 energy emergency, which left almost 10 million people without electricity.
The Belarusian Communists’ text recalls that the Caribbean country has been under a political, economic, financial, and commercial blockade for more than 60 years, illegally imposed by the United States of America and its allies.
The Island of Liberty has experienced first-hand the cruelty of the economic war unleashed by the United States and the aggression provoked from abroad. Recalling the cynical and inhumane veto on the delivery of respirators to Cuba, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, is enough,” the statement said.
The document adds that the current situation in the energy sector in Cuba is undoubtedly caused precisely by the cynical and unjust blockade policy of the United States and its satellites.
