The Boeing 737-700 aircraft took off last Monday from the Military Transport Air Command in Bogotá, making stopovers in the Dominican Republic, Portugal and Cyprus, before arriving at the Rafic Hariri International Airport of the Lebanese capital, where the Colombians boarded, the Foreign Ministry informed.
The source added that the operation, which included 35 minors, is the result of joint work between the Colombian Air Force and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On October 3, the first of the humanitarian flights arrived in Bogota, with 117 people on board, bringing the total number of evacuees from Lebanon to 222.
