Vietnam’s National Assembly is willing to create all favorable conditions for cooperation between the two countries, Thanh Manh said upon receiving Malaysian House of Representatives Speaker Tan Sri Dato’ Johari Bin Abdul.
The potential for collaboration between the two countries is still great, said the Vietnamese authority, who recommended strengthening it in the fields of investment, technology, tourism, trade and energy, in order to expand the commercial space and maximize the comparative advantages of each side.
Thanh Manh also called upon support for training Vietnamese localities and companies on the production and certification processes of Halal products and for further facilitating the import of these goods from Vietnam. He also suggested studying and proceeding to open more direct flights connecting famous places in the two nations, contributing to promoting trade and tourism, as well as promoting cooperation programs in training and human resource development in areas where both sides have strengths and needs.
Regarding legislative cooperation, Thanh Manh advocated increasing contacts between the two countries’ organs and the Parliamentary Friendship Groups to exchange professional experiences in the fields of legislation, supervision and important decision-making.
The Malaysian House of Representatives Speaker is on a working visit from October 22nd to 25th with the goal of strengthening cooperation with the National Assembly of Vietnam.
