The text released by that political organization also stressed that for decades the United States government has isolated the Caribbean nation from the world, making normal trade between Havana and the rest of the world impossible.
The note also indicated that Washington’s purpose is to “strangle the current Cuban government and end socialism.”
It added that the northern country and its allies do not care that the victims of the economic, commercial and financial blockade and, consequently, of the energy shortage, are the millions of inhabitants of the island.
Likewise, they expressed their conviction that “our solidarity will not bring more electricity” to the Caribbean country, but “we trust that (…) it will give strength to the Cuban people.”
