According to the state news agency KCNA, more than 480 entities of the metallurgical, chemical, machinery, agriculture, light industry, IT and public health sectors are taking part in this edition.

More than 2,200 results of studies, development and application of such breakthroughs that were approved at the national science and technology festival, as well as exhibitions of scientific and technical successes by sectors, will be exhibited in different formats.

During the event, there will be an exchange and dissemination of science and technology, as well as advertising of exhibits and service and transfer of technologies.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Jon Sung Guk, department head of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea Choe Tong Myong, Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Kim Song Bin, officials, managers and employees of the exhibition organizations.
