The visitors participated in a meeting of the project’s steering committee, which included the Norwegian counterparts from the Marine Research Institute.

The exchange allowed them to review the progress of the project implementation process and the actions to be undertaken in the future, the source added.

The Cuban delegation was made up of Marisela Hernández, administrative deputy director; Bárbaro Jaime Ceballos, deputy director of Aquaculture, and Eduardo Raúl Flores Gutiérrez, head of the project for the Cuban side, all from the Cuban Fisheries Research Center.

They were also accompanied by Yudmila Alonso Moriche, assistant director of teaching at the “Andrés González Lines” Maritime Fishing Institute, and Dalay Buides Ponce, specialist of the Directorate of International Cooperation that Cuba Receives, of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.

The members of the delegation from the largest of the Antilles also visited production, scientific and teaching facilities related to marine aquaculture.
