According to press reports, last night attacks and the ensuing fires left four dead and more than 70 injured.
Gaza Civil Defence reiterated that there remains no single safe place in the Strip, of which the latest attack on civilians and hospital patients is further proof.
Rescue teams rushed to the site to try to contain the flames spreading to the hospital itself.
At dawn, two citizens were killed and others injured in an Israeli bombardment in the Al-Nazla neighbourhood of Jabalia, in the northern part of the Strip.
Medical sources reported that three children were injured in the attack on the Abu Hussein school, which houses displaced persons in Jabalia camp.
According to eyewitnesses, some houses in the town were demolished by the Israeli military, while people were inside, and they pointed out that their bodies are still under the rubble, the WAFA news agency reported.
