China’s Prime Minister Li Qiang begins visit to Vietnam

Hanoi, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang will arrive here today for a three-day official visit to Vietnam aimed at taking the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Association between the two countries to a higher level.

This first trip of a Chinese head of government to the neighboring nation in the last 11 years, will contribute to coordinate measures to materialize the integral understanding reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, and continue improving political trust, the Vietnamese ambassador in Beijing, Pham Sao Mai said.

It will also help identify specific approaches to strengthen practical cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, infrastructure, culture, education, tourism, science and technology.

Sao Mai added in remarks to the VNA news agency, that this visit will boost all levels, sectors and localities in Vietnam to maintain and expand relations with China, contributing to establishing a solid social foundation for the development of bilateral ties.

Moreover, the tradition of high-level exchanges between the two countries will be continued, which is of great significance to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Association and promote the building of a strategically important Shared Future Community, he stressed.
