Likewise, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov conveyed his best wishes to Selassie and appreciated his contribution to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries during his previous diplomatic duties.

“I would especially like to thank you for your continued willingness to pay attention to Russia’s voice in the international arena, which you have shown during our numerous contacts in Moscow, Addis Ababa and other cities around the world,” Lavrov stressed.
