According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the event “is part of the strengthening of ties between Cuba and its nationals residing abroad and follows up on the 4th Conference on The Nation and Emigration.” It also specified that its objective is “to update Cubans residing abroad on the policies and strategies that are being undertaken in the country in terms of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence.”
The event will be an opportunity to share experiences, exchange initiatives and strengthen collaborative relationships with the Cuban guild of software and information technology services industry based in other countries. In addition, “foreign investment opportunities in the sector will be presented, aiming at establishing new ties of cooperation and a more digitalized country for the well-being of all.”
Representatives of the Ministry of Communications, the Union of Cuban IT Professionals, the Havana Scientific and Technological Park and Cuban diplomacy will participate in this forum.
