In a note, the Zimbabwean leader expressed that he had the privilege of visiting those local citizens who are camping in front of the U.S. diplomatic headquarters to demand the unconditional withdrawal by the US of such measures that are not legal.
He further noted that the gathering decided to join President Emerson Mnangagwa, who is calling for an end to the unilateral measures, including financial and trade measures, being applied not only against Zimbabwe, but also against Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, Syria and many other countries.
Kandishaya also denounced, on the other hand, that in the last five years, officials of the American embassy tried to bribe demonstrators to abandon the vigil, however the protesters rejected the offers.
After pointing out that the commitment of this group of people to the Zimbabwean cause is unparalleled, the official called on patriotic organizations and friendly nations to continue working together with the United Nations to thwart the harmful actions of imperialism against the peoples.
