Haiti seeks ways to strengthen national police

Port-au-Prince, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) The Prime Minister of Haiti, Garry Conille, is paying an official visit to the United Arab Emirates with the aim of negotiating material aid to strengthen the national police force, which currently faces the challenge of eliminating criminal groups.

Conille traveled accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Dominique Dupuy, as well as by two high-ranking officers of the Armed Forces and the Haitian National Police.

According to the Vant Bef Info daily, after their stay in the United Arab Emirates, the delegation will further visit Kenya, a country that has a contingent deployed here and is at the head of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission, which is monitored by the United States.

In Nairobi, Conille and his delegation will meet with Kenyan President William Ruto, with whom he will discuss details of Kenya’s upcoming deployment of troops to Haiti.
