The scientific institution emphasized that the first cold front would reach the country after October 15, in the transition from the rainy season to low temperatures, which could last until April in some regions.
INSIVUMEH described that this cold front would generate rainfall in the northern and Caribbean regions, with more drops in the central highlands and the western areas.
Regarding the cyclone season, the institution explained that even though a more active season was expected early this year, conditions remain below forecasts. Of 17 storms predicted in the Atlantic region, only 11 have formed so far.
