Scheduled at the Vice Presidency’s headquarters, the launch will include a panel, consisting of the book’s author Dario Fuentes and the Vice Presidency’s Secretary General Juan Carlos Alurralde.
Jorge Barron, director of the Barbarroja Video Library, and historian and geographer Javier Larrain will also participate. Bolivian troubadour Christian Benitez provided the music at the event.
“Mundo Che” includes stories in which journalist and writer Fuentes shares anecdotes gathered from his encounters and interviews with men and women with whom Che Guevara shared different stages of his life.
The voices of his best friends from childhood and adolescence, his wife Aleida March, and comrades from different battles are included in the text. The prologue was written by Juan Martin, the guerrilla hero’s younger brother.
Fuentes manages to create a fresh text, with everyday events that escape the solemn format, through which he finds a beautiful path and rediscovers unmistakable memories of those who accompanied Che beyond his struggles.
