Three more establishments closed in DR during operation

Santo Domingo, Sep 30 (Prensa Latina) Three establishments were closed and 28 violated the law in Santo Domingo Norte and San Cristobal during the "Guarantee of Peace" operation that was in its fourth week in the Dominican Republic, the National Police informed on Monday.

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Directorate (COBA) at the Ministry of the Interior and Police led the exercise that took place over the weekend in the Villa Mella, Los Guaricanos, and Sabana Perdida sectors of Santo Domingo Norte.

In San Cristobal, the operation also reached Hatillo, Madre Vieja Norte, Barrio Nuevo, La Piña, Nigua, and Haina.

The police took control of 34 establishments and three were closed for obstructing public streets, selling alcoholic beverages after hours, noise pollution, and the presence of firearms.

The COBA management stated that Colmado Jonathan was closed for violation of opening hours, VR Soluciones for obstructing the road, and Billar and Beauty for having firearms on the premises and noise pollution.

During the days, together with the National Police, representatives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), and the Defense Ministry, 28 other nightclubs were reported for irregularities, while the remaining monitored places were operating normally.
