Venezuela rejects US government statement

Caracas, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan government rejected the most recent statement issued by the United States Department of State attacking the Bolivarian people after the reelection of President Nicolás Maduro, local media reported today.

In a statement from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry reproduced in several newspapers, it is explained that the text “signed by a handful of its satellite governments to attack the Venezuelan people is nothing more than an accumulation of infamies, distortions and coup aspirations.”

Through a statement released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, the authorities accuse Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken and “his cronies” of trying to re-edit the script of former Vice President Mike Pence in 2019, in order to isolate Venezuela.

Venezuela also repudiates the State Department speaking about Human Rights. They claim that the US government is attacking Venezuelans with almost a thousand illegal coercive measures, ignoring the will expressed on July 28.

“They are planning terrorist actions against their authorities, public services and institutions, to ignore their democratic will and impose, as in 2019, a new puppet,” reads the letter issued by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.

The authorities maintain their intention to respect international law at all times, despite Washington’s constant attacks against its diplomats in Washington.

“Venezuela does not allow itself to be intimidated. The world knows that its people and its government are deeply committed to self-determination,” says the text published in Venezuela News.
