Speaking to Prensa Latina, Maday Alonso del Rivero, vice rector of Research and Graduate Studies at the University of Havana (UH), said that these exchanges take place in the context of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Beijing University of Communications, with which they maintain collaboration.
“The research fields of this university are related to the lines of some of our faculties and in particular, we will participate in a forum on Artificial Intelligence and Higher Education,” she said.
According to the academic, this is an interesting topic because it poses a challenge for professors due to the tools provided by AI in the hands of students.
Alonso stressed that without denying the development, it is necessary for teaching to offer students the necessary elements to make an ethical and correct use of artificial intelligence.
On the same issue, the dean of the Faculty of Communication of the UH, Ariel Terrero, highlighted the achievements of the Beijing University of Communications in this field.
“From Cuba we work with great intensity in the rapprochement with academic entities of other countries, in search of cooperation which is essential in the world of globalized communication, of information flows without borders,” he told Prensa Latina.
