Both dignitaries met during the high-level segment of the General Assembly, which began on Sunday with the Summit of the Future.
The meeting was held shortly before the visit of the Vietnamese head of State to Cuba, scheduled for September 25-26.
The agenda of the Cuban top diplomat will contribute ‘to strengthen the solid ties of brotherhood between our Parties, Governments and Peoples’, Rodriguez wrote in his account on X.
This week, the head of the Cuban diplomacy also met with the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Vietnam, Bui Thanh Son.
Speaking about the conversation, last Sunday, the Havana representative expressed satisfaction and assured that both agreed on the success of the next State visit to the Caribbean nation.
