In the note of the military entity published this Saturday on its official Telegram page, it is reported that a joint detachment of warships from the Pacific Fleet and the Chinese Navy set sail from the Russian city of Vladivostok to carry out the naval exercise.
During the exercises, which will take place in the Sea of Japan for a week, “the crews of the ships will carry out artillery fire and a series of combat exercises with the use of anti-aircraft and anti-submarine weapons.”
Russia is represented by destroyers Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs and the small missile ship Smerch, while China is represented by the destroyers Xining and Wuxi and the frigate Linyi.
The Chinese ships arrived in Vladivostok on a business stopover on September 18. During their stay at the main base of the Pacific Fleet, the Chinese sailors took part in various sporting and cultural events.
