During a meeting with the people of Said Karam district, Paktia province, Haqqani noted that the international community has now accepted that Afghanistan does not pose a threat to other countries.

We will provide them with the means through legitimate channels so that they can collaborate with us in the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan. The world is ready to invest in the mining sector and other national projects, the minister added.

The head of the acting Interior Ministry advanced that other projects, including Machalgho dam, Gardez-Patan road and electricity transmission to several districts of Paktia province, were approved and practical work on them will start in the near future.

Meanwhile, Paktia residents called for more facilities in the health and education sectors; and also requested the interim government to implement key projects in various areas of the province.
