The website www.tvyumurí.cu referred that the course involves trainers and doctors of the Cuban sports system, as well as PCT workers and developers of the application.
Alfredo Quintana, deputy director of the Cuban Sports Research Center, explained that the tool seeks to create a database embracing of all kinds of information related to sports, from grassroots to high performance, up to international events.
The course will start focusing on sports performance, for which we need to collect indicators that allow the monitoring of qualitative variables of the athletes’ performance, he said.
Quintana added that the analysis of opponents’ performance helps create better strategies of confrontation, and keeps track of the physiological, biochemical, psychological or recovery process of the athlete. All these aspects will be put forward in the program that will run until tomorrow.
The application, divided into three subsystems, will be applied in 12 disciplines in Cuba, although so far boxing is the first fully integrated sport.
Sports Intelligence Suite enables the analysis in real time of aspects related to the athlete’s training and behavior in different situations associated to his field.
