According to the message published Wednesday on the Telegram social network, 13 people were injured in the attack and emergency crews extinguished a fire that broke out in Toropets as a result of falling fragments of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The authorities also reported that the governor of Tver, Igor Rudenia made a decision to carry out a partial evacuation of the area where the anti-aircraft defense is working and the fire is being extinguished.
According to the note, the situation in Toropets, a city located about 470 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, is under control.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the anti-aircraft defense system eliminated another 54 Ukrainian UAVs over five provinces of the country on Wednesday.
According to the military agency, 27 drones were eliminated over Kursk oblast, 16 over Bryansk oblast, seven over Smolensk, three over Belgorod oblast and one over Oryol oblast.
In view of the setbacks on the battle line, the Ukrainian Army lately increases its drone attacks on residential buildings, houses and civilian facilities on the Russian territory, the communication noted.
