The world has turned its back on the principles of human rights and failed our people, the Palestinian leader said in a statement.
Fattouh denounced ‘the daily operations of killing and extermination in Gaza, especially of children and women’ and the siege imposed on the population.
He also warned that thousands remained buried under rubble and condemned the attacks against relief and civil defense teams in the coastal enclave.
During a meeting on Tuesday with the Egyptian ambassador, Ihab Suleiman, Fattouh demanded an end to the war, which began on October 7, 2023.
He also stressed the importance of opening the border crossings to allow the entry of a greater volume of humanitarian aid to the coastal enclave, according to the official Wafa news agency.
In this regard, he stressed that the situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels due to the severe shortage of food and medicines.
