From the place where the Lebanese communists launched the operations of the National Resistance Front against the Israeli invasion in 1982, the meeting of the left-wing forces assured the continuation of the confrontation to the aggression of the Zionist government against Palestine, Lebanon and the whole region.

In its tenth edition, the meeting brought together in this capital representatives of about 20 left-wing parties from Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Yemen, Bahrain and Kuwait.

During the discussions of the political document presented by the coordinating committee, those present agreed on the need to raise the action of the forces of the Arab left to the level of the ongoing confrontation against U.S. imperialism and its affiliated Zionist entity.

The political forces insisted on the importance of the confrontation against the regimes of normalization with the Israeli occupiers and their policies aimed at serving the chaos that the US intends to sow in the region.

The meeting concluded with a public ceremony marking the 42nd anniversary of the launching of the Lebanese National Resistance Front, which called for the unification of the political vision and the revival of action in this historic stage in the region.

Sunday’s celebration took place in this capital near the Bustros pharmacy, the scene of the first armed resistance operation against the Israeli occupation after the invasion of Beirut in 1982.
