Bearing in mind that giving an additional push to the economy is the main challenge for the government of President Nayib Bukele, resorting to such technological advanced tools as agricultural drones becomes an imperative to rescue agriculture, which according to critics has been abandoned for years.
In this regard, the Government has announced the opening of the Agricultural Drone Pilots School, to train “expert pilots.”
Odette Varela, director of the National Agricultural School (ENA), quoted by Diario El Salvador, affirmed that the use of drones in modern agriculture is transforming the sector by providing accurate data on soil conditions, crop health, and pest detection.
