Peskov made the remarks after responding to journalists’ question on whether the two heads of State will meet before ending this year.
The Kremlin spokesman added that preparations for the Russian president’s visit to Turkiye are continuing. “This visit is expected in both capitals.”
Russia took over the rotating presidency of the BRICS Group on January 1, 2024, a year that began with five new members.
In addition to Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, which gave the group its acronym BRICS, it now includes Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
