Beijing is willing to continue cooperating with the international community to accumulate the necessary conditions and contribute to the political resolution of the crisis and play a constructive role in achieving peace, Mao said at a press conference.
The spokeswoman affirmed that China’s position toward the situation in Ukraine remains unchanged; and reiterated that the country is committed to promoting negotiations and all other efforts dedicated to achieving a peaceful solution.
Last Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the leaders of China, Brazil and India are striving to promote the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Moscow has been continuing a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, whose objectives, according to President Putin, are to protect the population from ‘genocide by the Kiev regime’ and to tackle national security risks posed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) advance eastward.
