According to the entity’s information, which was published this Tuesday by Sputnik news agency, the exchange between both countries reached nearly 159 billion dollars between January and August.
Chinese exports to Russia grew 0.4 percent, to 71 billion 911 million dollars, in said period, while imports increased by 3.2 percent, reaching 86 billion 558 million dollars.
Last August alone, trade between these two countries stood at 21 billion 687 million dollars, of which 11 billion 423 million dollars corresponded to Russian exports to China.
In 2023, trade between China and Russia increased by 26.3 percent and set a record of 240 billion 11 million dollars, the Customs of the Russian Federation said.
