Arce affirmed on social media that based on Supreme Decree 5219, a wide range of actions are being implemented, and international aid is already being received.
“Some 60 Brazilian forest firefighters arrived in our country, with whom we began the work of the Bolivia-Brazil Binational Joint Command, in San Ignacio de Velasco, Santa Cruz”, the head of State informed in a post on X.
He anticipated that among the binational team’s main tasks is to carry out overflights and identify the areas affected by indiscriminate burning.
Arce informed that the intervention plan started in the camps located in Ascension de Guarayos, San Ignacio de Velasco, and Concepcion, from where the flames are being fought by land and air.
He stressed that “Chile, Venezuela, and France will send specialized personnel and firefighters to the country in the next few days to reinforce work in the most affected departments.”
