Ahmed paid an official visit to Beijing from September 4 to 6, heading a high-level delegation to strengthen the “All-Weather Strategic Partnership” with China.
The African head of Government announced on his X platform that he held talks with his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, to explore concrete ways to deepen this strategic partnership.
He stated that the signing of 17 memoranda of understanding he and Li presided over was a significant testimony of the high-level relationship between the two countries.

To improve the adaptation of cities to climate change, disasters, and conflicts, the African Urban Resilience Program was launched during the African Urban Forum held from September 4 to 6.
The Forum was held at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum under the theme “Sustainable Urbanization for Africa’s Transformation.”
Attending the event were representatives from 47 countries, mayors of the continent’s cities, religious leaders, academicians, and others.
