Receiving the day before the style copies of the new ambassador of Palestine in this nation, Rafat Mustafa Badran, the head of Nicaraguan diplomacy also stressed the strong ties of friendship and commitment to struggle that unite both peoples and governments.
“We reiterate our strongest condemnation of the atrocities committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and all occupied Palestinian territories,” the foreign minister stressed.
He added that Nicaragua will continue to advocate for the cessation of brutality and sustained genocide against the population of Palestine, which “for more than 76 years has suffered persecution and savagery.”
“We will continue in every space of international forums to advocate for the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign, independent and free state, with East Jerusalem as its capital and in accordance with the 1977 borders,” the foreign minister stressed.
At the ceremony, which took place at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in the capital, the Palestinian diplomat, after conveying the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, stressed his admiration for the Nicaragua President, Daniel Ortega.
