In a speech on the national radio and television, the head of state alluded to the recent statements made by the United States ambassador, Laura Dogu, who accused the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, Roosevelt Hernández, and the former Defense Minister José Manuel Zelaya of being drug traffickers.
“I condemn all types of negotiations between drug traffickers and politicians,” Castro highlighted in her speech.
The president denounced that the same dark internal and external forces of 2009, in complicity with the national and international corporate media, are reorganizing in Honduras to deliver a new coup d’état that the people must repel.
“The running crime solution plan demonstrates our political commitment in favor of extradition, but I will not allow the current treaty with the United States to be selectively exploited to dismantle the Armed Forces, overthrow my government and destroy the elections,” Castro said.
