Caracas’ Mayoress Carmen Melendez pointed out that the team toured the city after the heavy rains to supervise relief work for residents.
She further noted that thanks to the preventive maintenance conducted through the Rains Plan, it has been possible to “minimize the effects of the rainfall in hit communities.”
The authority underscored that on the instructions of President Nicolas Maduro, the deployed teams have cleared the roads. Meanwhile, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology informed on Tuesday that tropical wave number 34 transits from the center to the west of Venezuela.
The institute forecasts isolated rains and showers accompanied by “eventual” electric storms in some states.
