Abbas congratulated Aziz Nasir Zadeh for assuming the position of Iranian Defense Minister, ratified the continuity of relations and indicated that joint cooperation will make the two nations stronger against the arrogant evil powers in the world.

“We and the brothers in the resistance axis are in the same boat, and we fight against the Israeli occupier who has committed many crimes in Gaza, Syria and Yemen, amidst silence and inaction from international organizations,” the minister said.

General Abbas referred to the efforts of Iran and all member states of the resistance axis towards Syria and its security.

Referring on the same issue, the Iranian Defense Minister affirmed Iran’s support for Syria’s security and respect for its territorial integrity. He also highlighted the common points between the two countries, especially Syria’s support for the resistance axis.

The agreements between the two countries must be implemented so that cooperation expands faster, Zadeh said. Iran is a key ally of Damascus in the fight against terrorism and maintains military advisors in Syrian territory, who in recent months have been the target of Israeli bombings.
