A diplomatic source quoted by the Russian news agency Sputnik said that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov will pay a one-day visit to Ankara on Tuesday at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.
Both diplomats will discuss various aspects of bilateral and regional relations and the events that are taking place in the region, particularly the conflict between Israel and Palestine, the information from Sputnik added.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought two wars over Nagorno-Karabakh since the predominantly Armenian territory decided to secede from the then Soviet Socialist Republic of Azerbaijan in 1988.
In 2022, Baku and Yerevan began discussing the signing of a future peace treaty.
