The Consul General of Cuba in the department, Dalay Lamar, thanked the activists and Cuban residents in Bolivia for the effort.
Lamar highlighted, in particular, the management of the Che Guevara brigade of graduates of the Latin American School of Medicine based in Cuba in leading the solidarity action to a successful end.
The functionary expressed her gratitude to the Bolivians and Cubans who meet every last Sunday to keep the spirit of solidarity alive and reject the hostile policy of the United States against Cuba. She also supported the demand of those present in the demand that Cuba be excluded from the unilateral list of alleged states sponsors of terrorism which the White House uses to justify its economic, commercial and financial blockade.
The consul praised the beginning of the Bolivian Solidarity Movement’s work throughout the country to hold the Annual Meeting next October in support of the Cuban Revolution.
In this same effort, activist Humberto Arandia, ratified the solidarity group’s commitment to persist in denouncing the hostile policy of the US government towards the Cuban people. He also urged to maintain the fight against the blockade by sending supplies and food.
In turn, the Association of Cuban Residents in Santa Cruz “Félix Varela” called to denounce the economic damage caused to the Cuban people by the US Government and thanked the Bolivian brothers for their solidarity actions.
