Putin stated in his address to the participants of the expedition that the research of Russian specialists will contribute in increasing the efficiency of fishing by African partners.
The Russian leader highlighted that the current expedition, which departed from the port of Kaliningrad and will last during 2024 and 2025, is an example of the level of relations between Russia and African countries, noting that it will contribute to cooperation in the field of fishing.
Putin added that the goal of the mission is to assess the state of water and biological resources in the economic zones of African countries.
Russian specialists will carry out scientific research in the exclusive economic zones of Angola, Cameroon, Gabon, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Mauritania, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Eritrea, Republic of Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mauritania, Mozambique, Oman, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
