Ukrainian Army withdraws some units from Kursk

Moscow, Aug 21 (Prensa Latina) Ukrainian Armed Forces have recently withdrawn some units from the Russian Kursk region, reported today the commander of the Special Forces Ajmat, Apti Alaudinov.

The deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry told Perviy Kanal that the units under his command successfully recaptured several settlements that the Ukrainians had occupied at the beginning of their incursion into Kursk.

In his words, Russian forces are currently occupying those settlements, although the Ukrainian military are still resisting on the outskirts.

Alaudinov emphasized that the bulk of the Ukrainian offensive hit those sections of the front where the units he commands were operating.

Earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian side had lost up to 300 troops and six tanks on the road to Kursk direction over the past 24 hours.
