According to the survey issued by the Comptroller General of the Republic, sectors registering the highest increases were housing, water, electricity and gas, by 2.6 percent.
Higher price hikes also hit restaurants and hotels, assorted goods and services, transportation, food and non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco and education.
On the other end and quoted by the CPI, there were lower rates in clothing and footwear, communications, furniture, household items, recreation and culture, among others.
The national urban CPI report also assessed inflation in June compared to May 2024, which showed a negative monthly variation of 0.3 percent.
Monthly inflation showed higher rates for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.3 percent); alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.2 percent); and restaurants and hotels (0.1 percent).
