During the conference held at the National Palace, Lopez Obrador stressed that he was “very happy” not only “because a woman from our movement, a founder of the transformation movement, won the elections. Claudia is a qualified, sensitive, honest person. She’s the best that could have happened to Mexico”, he enthused.

“We will open a new period in this country”, he noted, going on to say that “Mexico and its citizens, who are also very happy, expect good times. Most people have done well, and even those who look at us with twisted eyes have made progress, they have benefited from our economic policy.”
