In a statement on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the victory in July 2006, the political and military movement emphasized its strength and determination to protect Lebanon, its people, resources and “what the homeland deserves in terms of a free, honorable and dignified life.”
In commemorating the date, Hezbollah highlighted the dignity of the martyrs who “with their blood wrote the epic of the honorable defense of Lebanon and the people.”
At this point, he stressed that the triumphant return on August 14, 2006, amidst rubble and destruction, marked the way under the central motto: “The era of defeats is over, and the era of victories has begun.”
Incidentally, he noted that the memory of the July war was engraved in the Zionist consciousness, as the Israeli killing machine, with unlimited American support, an unprecedented international diplomatic campaign and shameful internal collusion failed to break the will of the Resistance fighters after 33 days of destruction in all Lebanese territories.
In this regard, Hezbollah noted that this failure reflected negatively on all aspects of political life within the enemy entity and turned the Resistance in Lebanon into a force to be reckoned with for Israel and its allies.
In this regard, he reiterated that the land of Lebanon will never again be under occupation, nor will it be held hostage to the will of the enemy nor will it open its doors to normalization.
In the midst of the current scenario following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Hezbollah renewed its absolute will to accompany the Palestinian people alongside all the support fronts of the Axis of Resistance.
In light of Israeli pressures, American aircraft carriers, assassinations and internal and external media campaigns, the Resistance fixed its position to continue with courage, wisdom and all the strength, capabilities and surprises available to defend Lebanon and its people.
