Syria demands the US to withdraw its troops

Damascus, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Sunday the illegal presence of US forces in this nation, and denounced the criminal practices of the separatist militia Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that garner support from Washington.

“We reaffirm our demand to the United States to withdraw immediately and unconditionally from our territory and respect the will of Syrians who reject such occupation and the SDF criminal actions,” the Foreign Ministry assured through a communiqué on Facebook.

The Ministry repudiated the recent attacks by US fighter jets on innocent civilians who were only defending their families, villages and properties from SDF’s aggressions.

Damascus ensured that the US occupation of a portion of Syria represents a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, so it rejected Washington’s support for this illegal SDF group, which has been manipulated to take the US anti-Syrian plans, the Ministry clarified.

It stressed that all inhumane and immoral SDF practices against the population in the eastern and northeastern regions, including banning access to food supplies and drinking water, are aimed at aggravating the suffering of Syrians and prolonging the war against them.

The communiqué reaffirmed the will of the Syrian people to liberate their land and preserve their sovereignty no matter how much sacrifices they have to bear.

The Syrian Democratic Forces dominate most of the oil-rich Al-Jazeera region and receive weapons, money and training from the U.S. occupation troops illegally present in over fifteen military bases in the country.

Popular actions are ramping up against the illegal SDF as indignation arises every day due to its criminal practices against villagers and its servility to the United States, in addition to the theft of crude oil and crops from Syrians.
