For the losers, Artacho got two points on serve and nine on attack, and Clancy, three on serve, 26 on offense and one block.

In the other semifinal of the women, Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson beat the Swiss Tanja Huberli and Nina Betschart 2-1 with scores of 14-21, 22-20 and 15-12.

In the men’s competition, the Swedes David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig and the Germans Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler will compete for the title.

In the second to last round, Ahman and Hellvig beat Qatar’s Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tija 2-0 by scores of 21-13 and 21-17, and Ehlers and Wickler beat Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sorum in three sets 21-13, 17-21 and 15-13.
