Molla, after visiting the advanced research reactor in Beijing, met with CAEA Vice Chairman Liu Jing, during which he mentioned China’s comprehensive support to Addis Ababa’s development, the state-owned media revealed. He acknowledged that his country hopes to achieve the same level of growth in peaceful nuclear technology utilization as China.
The two sides also explored the possibility of expanding the scope of cooperation between universities and related institutions in the fields of nuclear education and research.
He recalled Ethiopia’s close collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and called on the Chinese Authority to support the local proposal submitted to that institution belonging to the UN system to build an African nuclear technology training center.
