Diario El Salvador published on its front page that during the years in government of President Nayib Bukele, the country reached 675 days without murders. For almost two years, Salvadoran families were not marked by mourning.
In 2024, the National Civil Police (PNC) recorded 156 days without violent-related deaths attributed to gangs after the adoption of the Territorial Control Plan and the exception regime in force since 2022.
