At the current stage of the drills, troops of missile units from the Southern and Central military districts and the Aerospace Forces received ammunition, and moved to designated areas to equip missiles, the military agency reported on its official Telegram channel.

On Wednesday, July 31, the Defense Ministry announced the beginning of the third and last stage of the non-strategic nuclear forces exercises.

The objective of the drills, according to the Defense Ministry, is to prepare the Armed Forces for the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons in combat.

The first and second phases focused on training units from the Southern and Leningradsky military districts, as well as the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Russian Navy to fight using non-strategic nuclear weapons.
