Israel crossed red lines and puts the region on the brink of war

Beirut, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) Israel once again crossed red lines, attacked the southern suburb of Beirut, and assassinated the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Iran, placing the region on the brink of war, said the head of International Relations of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maher Al-Taher, in condemning the assassination of Haniyeh and the violation of Iran's sovereignty.

In less than 24 hours, Israeli forces carried out two operations against leaders of the Resistance axis, with the United States administration complicity and its Western allies. Desperate to change its image of defeat in the last 10 months in Gaza, the Israeli government made up the Majdal Shams massacre, in the occupied Syrian Golan, to justify an attack on Lebanon, said the president of the Democratic Party, Talal Arslan.

According to local reports, last night’s attack, which was aimed at assassinating a leader of the Lebanese Resistance (Hezbollah) in the suburb of Beirut, killed four civilians and wounded more than 70 by bombing a residential building in the Haret Hreik area.

The assassination of Haniyeh and a bodyguard in his residence in Tehran will lead the Resistance fronts to respond against the Israeli occupation, said the official of the press office of the Resistance Committees, Abu Mujahid.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Nasser Kanaani, noted that the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran will increasingly strengthen the deep and strong relations between Iran, Palestine, and the Resistance.

The Resistance movements of Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine condemned the Israeli criminal actions and renewed confidence in the wisdom and courage of the Hezbollah leadership to respond to Zionist aggression.

Lebanon’s government will hold an emergency session to address the situation, with interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati renewing the right to take all measures that contribute to deterring Israeli aggression.
